Moe’s Pizza App

Project Role

UX research, UI Design, Conduct interviews, wireframing both paper and digital, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducted usability studies, accounting for accessibility, and iterated on designs.

Target Audience

Busy pizza patrons who would like to order their Moe’s Pizza quickly on a smart phone.

To understand Moe’s customers I conducted interviews and created empathy maps. Our primary customer was identified as parents of young children who were busy with work.

Key Challenges

Create a user interface that presents all the pizza topping choices in a easy to comprehend format.

Users wanted to be able to order quickly by scanning their choices with few prompts.

Impact:
The app helps users feel like Moe’s Pizza really thinks about how to meet their needs.

What I learned:
While designing this conceptual app for Moe’s Pizza, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the app’s designs.
